Some of the designs have a pattern for a lifetime guarantee and you can always get replacements for that pattern. Casual flatware is not quite as heavy but it is still well made and you can trust the Oneida name for quality items.
It is important to care for your stainless. Wash and dry the flatware after use and be careful about acidic based foods and detergent. (wash lemon off right away) If you take care of your stainless it will last for a very long time.
