How safe is Murray Hills (Flushing Queens) NY for travelers?

HI I am traveling to NY in a few days and I would like to ask this questionI was traveling in DC area and somehow ended up in a very bad neighborhood and now i am very concerned about the safety wherever i goi am going solo thats why i am more particular about iti am asian (korean) and i was wondering how safe murray hills would bewhere i would be staying is like a min. from LIRR murray hills station..it might seem a bit ridiculous asking this question but i am being serious and I would like a serious answerthank you|||Flushing Queens is a pretty safe area. Washington, DC is a much more run down city than NYC.
