I am looking for a awesome japanese sword.?

so for im tied between a naginata and a tachi is there a better sword then either of them?|||A naginata is a pole arm not a sword. Tachi and katana are basically the same except that the tachi is worn hanging from cords while the katana is thrust through the obi (sash).
